FAQ

Before you travel — what to expect

  • Cost estimates are indicative. If additional procedures or tests prove necessary, the final cost may be higher. The hospital will inform you before proceeding, and any additional amount is payable before you are discharged.
  • Price quotations are valid for a limited period and may change.
  • Payment is made directly to the hospital, before treatment begins. MG GlobalMed does not receive or handle treatment payments.
  • Additional examinations may be required both before and after your procedure.
  • Length of stay varies by procedure and by your individual medical assessment.
  • All medical decisions are made by the treating hospital's doctors. MG GlobalMed does not provide medical advice and cannot influence clinical decisions.
  • MG GlobalMed is a non-exclusive intermediary. We are not a partner, affiliate, or agent of any hospital.

General

No. We coordinate referrals and travel. Clinical decisions are made by the treating hospital. We will never diagnose you, recommend a treatment, interpret your test results, or tell you whether a procedure is right for you — those conversations belong with a qualified doctor.

Not through this website. Medical records are sensitive and this site is not built to receive them. Contact us first and we will guide you on sharing them directly and securely with the hospital.

Yes. MG GLOBALMED CONNECT LIMITED is a private company limited by shares, incorporated in Zambia on 20 August 2025 under Company Registration Number 120251030873, and registered with the Zambia Revenue Authority under TPIN 2003994767. You can verify our registration with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency at pacra.org.zm.

Referral Process

Send us an enquiry through the form on this website, or call or WhatsApp us. We will ask about the diagnosis, what treatment has already happened, and what the treating doctor has recommended. We will then tell you which hospital in our referral network is the right fit and what documents they need. There is no charge for the first conversation.

It varies with the condition and the hospital’s requirements. Straightforward consultations and treatments can often be arranged within a few weeks of receiving complete medical records. Complex procedures take longer, particularly where the destination country requires additional regulatory or ethics approvals, or where documents must be translated, notarised and apostilled before travel. We give you a realistic timeline once the hospital has reviewed the case — not before.

Costs & Payment

Cost depends entirely on the diagnosis, the treatment required, the hospital and the length of stay — so we cannot quote a figure before a hospital has reviewed the case. Once the hospital has your medical records, they issue a written treatment plan with a cost estimate, and we send that to you before you commit to anything.

Be aware that a hospital package normally covers the treatment itself. Flights, accommodation outside the hospital, meals, document translation and notarisation, and medication after discharge are usually additional. We will set these out for you in writing so there are no surprises.

Travel & Visas

We support the application; we do not issue visas. The hospital provides the invitation and medical treatment letters that the embassy requires, and we guide you through what else to submit and when to apply. The decision rests with the embassy or consulate of the destination country.

Hospitals We Refer To

We are an authorised intermediary under signed agreements with Acıbadem Healthcare Group and Medicana Health Group, both in Türkiye — we refer patients to them but are not their partner or affiliate. You can see the full list, with details of each, on our Hospitals We Refer To page. We also work with Zambian facilities for local coordination and follow-up.

After Treatment

Before you are discharged, the hospital gives you a discharge summary, a medication schedule and follow-up instructions. We help make sure those reach the doctor who will be looking after you in Zambia, and we coordinate any follow-up appointments or reviews the hospital has asked for. If the hospital needs to see you again — for example to remove a stent or check progress — we arrange that return visit too.

For general enquiries. Please do not send medical documents.
